Something to brag about

So there's not much NEW going on with us. Spring Soccer Season has officially started. BOTH Maxx and Miles entered the 2009 Sport Stacking Championships this year. And somehow I got suckered into being a COACH of their relay team LOL. Been contacted by The Ellen Degeneres show again. But otherwise all is normal. Typical chaos and business, right?

BUT, I started a kickboxing bootcamp class at The Defense Institute. (Our friends Janet and Eric own the place, I also took a self defense class there once and the boys do karate there) The bootcamp is a 10 week course of classes (however many you wish to go to a week, 11 classes held a week) and a "diet" and plan to follow or, at least write down what your goals are in a notebook they provide. I ended up signing up on thedailyplate.com to track my caloric intake, workouts etc. And I HAVE to brag - to someplace or SOMEONE since I feel like an ass sharing it to the world on facebook or the playgroup message boards! - that I have, AS OF TODAY, LOST EIGHT POUNDS AND EIGHT INCHES TOTAL!!!!! And it's only in the middle of WEEK FOUR! (although I am not pressuring myself to keep up the pace that I have for the next 6 weeks) I am now only 14lbs up from my pre-kids weight and feeling good! It's been HARD but worth it! I've even inspired Max to count his calories and try to lose weight (although I think he looks GREAT the way he is) so he can lose some pounds to be able to run faster and get a better time at the Denver Marathon this year. Anyways, ME who has NEVER dieted (minus my low carb/sugar diet while pregnant with Maxx) OR really excersized like this, this is a BIG accomplishment. I am HOOKED and plan on sticking with it, I LOVE hitting those bags to get out some aggression and having other people go through the same hell as I am at the same time. ;) Gonna look HOT in my bathing suit for our vacation this June. ;)
