Poor Baby

My poor baby Miles! He seems to have been the one who's been sick most often out of all the boys. Today is not an exception! He started with a fever yesterday, and last night it got very close to 106 for a while there. He even snoozed in bed with us for a while which is big for him since he is always so independent with that kind of stuff. He soon asked to go back to bed and outright refused to let one of us sleep on the bottom bunk to keep a closer eye on him. That's Miles for you!

He was doing better today until a while into his nap, his fever spiked up to 104 again. He came out of his room complaining of something that was hurting. I am sure his whole little body hurts with a fever like that. My poor guy.

Now this sounds outrageous, but this all reminds me of Nathan. I don't want to trivialize that whatsoever, but he had a lot of unexplained fevers and was always in and out of the doctors office with what they wrote off as virus after virus. Miles has NO other symptoms right now aside from his fever. This could be another case of Roseola (Mason had it a while back), or Miles may just be one of those kids that gets more fevers or higher fevers, but I am still a little worried. I am not sure if I am being paranoid or just listening to my motherly instincts?

I would never say any of that to Max because he IS a big worrier and would freak out if he thought I had these feelings. So in the blog it goes! A girl needs to talk to someone or something to get through the day. - Here's to hoping my baby gets better SOON.

PS. The picture is of Miles playing on the monkey bars at Fox Run Park on Mother's Day last Sunday. He looks so serious, doesn't he? He is quite the dare-devil, which goes along nicely with his strong personality. ;)

Poor Miles. :( I'm sure it's nothing serious - kids are always picking up random viruses, as I'm sure you know.

Has Susan ever mentioned to you that Nathan had other unexplained symptoms, other than the fevers?

So sorry Miles is feeling bad!

BTW - the unexplained fevers related to cancer are usually low grade - under 102. So - please let that ease your mind!
