Kids really DO say the darndest things! Here are a few cute stories...
Last week, we were riding home in the car after the boys' soccer classes and Maxx says "My music teacher's name is not Mrs. _____ anymore, it's now Mrs. Ernheart." Wy ask, why? "Because things just didn't work out with her husband and now she has a new last name so she doesn't have the same last name as him anymore." OMG I was PIMP. Of course we had to explain the whole divorce thing, in 5 year old laymans terms! That kid is a SPONGE.
Today, our neighbor that takes Maxx to school for me sometimes and always picks him up was telling me about Maxx and her son, Nick's conversations in the car. Nick was talking about his "girlfriend" Eliza. Of course Maxx chimes in about his "girlfriend" Casey. Nick proceeds to tell Maxx that Eliza is HOT! Christa tried to chime in, but Maxx responded with "Well Casey is COLD!" That is so fricken funny! Christa says that Nick (having an older brother) kinda knows what "hot" means, but obviously Maxx does not. Also Nick and Trevor have been singing "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?..." because of an American Idol commercial on TV. So I guess they are singing it non-stop and Maxx has started singing with them! WHY does my baby have to grow up so fast? Even if he still is so innocent!
