Soccer season ends this week! It has been a CRAZY chaotic whirlwind with five practices a week, plus 3 or more games on Saturdays. PLUS the boys went to a few free goalie clinics on Fridays and Maxx is in Pride Soccer Academy on Sundays. So for a few weeks we LITERALLY did soccer every single day of the week! Needless to say this mama is all soccered out, but I better start getting used to it!

- Maxx had almost an entirely new team. Just him and maybe 4 other players came back to the team from the Spring season. Most of the kids had played very little soccer before. The team won their first game, but has lost every single one since. Some were good, close games and some were smack downs LOL. Maxx has really developed as a player and is quite possibly the teams best player. Unfortunately he gets stuck on defense most because he is a solid defender and actually stays in position. The few times they moved him to midfield or on offense, he was kind of lost. But it's all good, it's just nice to see him excelling finally after many seasons of him looking at the clouds while the games were going on around him LOL. We discovered though, that he may have "exercise induced asthma" though because he had the second incident of loss of breath and his lips even turned blue! We are taking him into the doctor tomorrow afternoon to investigate.

- Max moved Miles' team UP an age group to U7 this season. We'd debated back and forth about it only to decide to do what's best for MILES even though the majority of his team wasn't ready to move up. (via Max's opinion as coach) It turned out to be a great decision!! I think they have only lost 2 games out of 7? And the kids that were iffy have stepped it up a notch. At least now the kids are not scoring a dozen or so goals in one game and are challenged now. ;) They are playing really well. Miles is still the best player, naturally. The only bad thing that we've seen is that Miles seems to be targeted by the other teams and he gets roughed up more than most kids. We think it's because his skills are just *out there* and the other kids get frustrated so they get rough. Miles has a temper! So this has not gone over well a few times and he's been VERY rough in return a few times. You can't blame a FIVE YEAR OLD though. Even me as an adult would lose my temper! We've talked to him about it a lot and he seems to be understanding it better. It's just hard to gauge whether he's getting upset on the field or not and whether he needs a break to cool down LOL. He did really well in the last game though!

- Mason's first season of soccer!!! He is SO darn cute, ALL of the kids are. I don't remember appreciating the little guys so much, and I probably didn't since overall, I seem to be cherishing Mason more than I did the other two when they were little, knowing he is our last! The first game they had he scored three goals! ... In his OWN goal! LOL He was so proud of himself, and it was just unbearably cute. Unfortunately he hasn't even stepped on the field to play in the last three games and that's been frustrating. Darn three year old tempers and hard headed-ness!
My mom. Treatment is well underway, hair is gone, she is finally on disability. Her and BryAna have been rocky, but at least it is some sort of relationship growing again. My mom calls, we talk, she says everything is OK, but I know it is not. She likes to put up a strong front. And the messed up thing is that in many ways, I do not care. She IS my mother, but hasn't ever been MUCH of a mother, she has very possibly never been there for me. I will not be guilted into giving her money, caring for her or whatever she may need. I will do it because I want to, but I also will not do at the expense of my family. I may not have ever been taught how to be a mother, wife etc, but I'll be damned if I don't give it my all and do what I think is right. And my Family comes FIRST. Over anything else, even myself. SO, that said, this is not easy for me. For anyone really. Just so much baggage that will never really ever get sorted out...
Max's mom and sister are coming for a quick visit for Thanksgiving! It will be nice to see them again, it really has been too long. Of course they come with their quirks, but don't we all? The boys will LOVE it, and it'll be nice to have ANY extended family around. They mean well and are GOOD people so it'll be a very THANKFUL Thanksgiving for me. ;)
What else? Not much. Since my best friend Amber moved away, I have been keeping to myself and the family most. There was more drama on the street regarding the bullying and unfortunately the Scheibley's and ourselves "parted." So it's been a rough Fall for this mama. I really need to put myself out there and make more friends, or nourish what friendships I have going on right now and watch them grow more. I have been very busy with soccer season and helping the boys' school and PE teacher (Coach Kay) with the Sport Stacking program at the school. We will soon be practicing 2 days a week and hopefully will bring 1-2 relay teams to the World Championships in April '10!
Max got his contract with Verigy renewed for another full year! It was SUCH great news! Once we got word of that, we quickly planned a getaway for Christmas Vacation. We are driving to Texas! I know, surprising! It was just a shorter drive than other places and we'll stay in San Antonio for a few days and see Sea World there for two days, and a Six Flags park there another... maybe fit in a few other touristy things. Then we are going to Port Aransas. It is a small beachtown directly on the Gulf east of Corpus Cristi. We got a really nice beachfront condo for a few nights and that is where we will spend our Christmas. We cannot wait!!!
