We're adopting a new dog, Mattie! She's a 2 1/2 to 3 year old black, labrador retriever. She seems very sweet and fairly laid back. We found a listing about her online and went out to Yoder, Colorado (30+ miles east of Colorado Springs) to see her this past Sunday. The sanctuary there is so depressing yet the woman who owns it takes pretty good care of the dogs. There must be 100 dogs there and most of them are large breed dogs. Anyways, after visiting for a little while we decided to get Mattie. We are picking her up on Thursday afternoon. Lisa (the owner) got her spayed yesterday (Monday) so she will not be feeling too well when we get her home, but can't wait to get her here! She is going to be a momma's girl. I already got her a pink collar and leash! ;) We're going to enroll her in training classes at some point as well.The boys are SO excited to be getting a new dog! They have been playing in her doggie bed!
And note the M name! We felt like maybe she was meant to be a part of our M&M Family!
