I just got an email from the WSSA today about Miles' Individual Cycle Stack. I guess he scratched ALL THREE times! :( Wahhh!!! The reason given says "started to stack 1st 6-stack prior to completing the downstack of 3-6-3." I do - now - know what they are talking about and it just sucks! It looks like it is a very common infraction among all the other stackers who scratched as well. SO he didn't OFFICIALLY break the WORLD RECORD for the 4U Individual Cycle, BUT still gets to keep his "First Place" status in his age division. Luckily his 3-3-3 and 3-6-3 stacks were video verified and he still left the old world records in the dust! SO, although I am disappointed about this news, I am not TOO disappointed. Everyone (me too!) has to remember that he IS only 4 years old and that he'd only been sport stacking for 4 months before competing. At least we know all the tiny, yet important, rules and know what to work on with him before he competes in his next tournament!
BUT here is a picture of him with his timer with his personal fastest Cycle time. Unfortunately we didn't get it on video, but I made him pose for the camera. ;) He's getting faster! But now we need work on this one little infraction and hopefully he'll back to stacking in the 10's and 11's again soon!
